Review Process
Every article and research summary is reviewed before publication against two lenses: is it accurate, and is it clear?
Last updated
Medical-accuracy review
Reviewers check that each scientific claim matches its cited source, that mechanisms are described correctly, that drug information reflects current labelling and trial data, and that nothing reads as individual medical advice. Statements that outrun the evidence are softened or removed.
Editorial review
Separately, content is reviewed for structure, clarity, accessibility, and internal consistency — including that links resolve, citations are complete, and the piece does not contradict our other coverage.
What reviewers verify
- Every statistic and study result traces to a named, verifiable source.
- Citations include working identifiers (PMID or DOI) wherever available.
- Claims are proportionate to the strength of the underlying evidence.
- The piece is labelled as education, not advice, with appropriate disclaimers.
Post-publication review
Review is not a one-time gate. Content is re-examined on a schedule and whenever significant new evidence appears. Corrections are made promptly and transparently.
